James McQueen aims to create affordable pieces of art for people to enjoy. Initially deciding to create his own life size canvas penguin due to his love of Penguin books, James then had requests from neighbours and friends.

 

James McQueen aims to reflect the age of the books in his finished articles by using multiple layers of paint, sanded down to create amazing patina, and finished with lacquer. He considers this planning and painting of books to be just a bit of fun, something he enjoys doing in his spare time. Far different from his acting career of over 30 years making him live between New York and London.
