The bold abstract imagery of Sir Terry Frost's early works have become highly collected globally within the collectors community.
Frost has developed a highly individualised version of modernist abstraction. His work asserts the self-sufficiency of the image, yet is fed by constant observation and an intense responsiveness to both art and nature. He has developed a repertoire of recurrent motifs discs, half-discs and quarter-disc segments, circles, chevrons and arrowheads, truncated ovals, lozenges, triangles and diamonds. With this vocabulary, he creates a visual language of sign and analogy'.(Quoted in Terry Frost, ed. E. Knowles, 1994).
 
.Executed on wove paper the etching is in dustorian gravure with aquatint.
The piece was purchased by our gallery Warwick Studios in Regent Street Leamington Spa circa 2001 supplied by his long time publisher and printer C.C.A galleries.
The piece was sold to our client and is now offered for sale via the gallery on his behalf.
