Biography
Art Lounge International in Royal Leamington Spa is delighted to represent the works of contemporary artist Rich Simmons.
Rich Simmons is a specialist pop artist of urban nature,some call him a visionary pugilist of his craft hailing from London who has exhibited all over the world.
Raising to fame quite quickly with the iconic pieces of street art of Will and Kate he created before the Royal wedding,Rich has gone on to exhibit in some of the biggest galleries in London, Geneva, Tampa, New York and L.A and now Leamington spa within our luxury H.Q.
As a self taught artist,Rich has taken his inspiration of different genres of the art world's finest of masters,in addition to fusing heavily ideas from popular street art, pop art and famous comic books to pioneer this new epic style which draws on all of his inspiration.We like to call him the new day Lichtenstein.
The use of his bold colour palette and hand drawn cut stencils,reclaimed use of billboards that have been pulled down from the streets are proving Rich is both an innovator and highly collectable artist. Fans and collectors include royalty, celebrities, musicians and is collected as far as New York, Singapore, Baku, Paris, Dubai, Monaco, Geneva, London and Miami. The art itself could very well be described as a successful fusion. His representations of familiar figures, both real and fictional allow Simmons to construct narratives sometimes in only a single frame. What Rich Simmons produces is definitely art, from the street to the gallery enthusiasts of all stripes respond to his work. Simmons's is proving that passion, dedication and a wide variety of influences can create engaging cross cultural art.
