Art Lounge International has had a long term relationship with Shanghai born artist Wilfred Lang . It was in the year 1995 that the artist became known to us via his then agents in Bournemouth and it was after several trade shows in the united Kingdom that Art Lounge decided to showcase the works by this artistic talent.

Wilfred Lang was born into an a very artistic and talented  family in 1954 and began to with trial and error execute paintings at the age of seven.

We recall that it was between 1972 and 1976 he attended the highly decorated Shanghai art school.Wilfred himself is a unusual one might say extraordinary talent in the fact that his dynamic offerings make use of such compressed energy that translates in to the life of city living. His broad strokes offer such high competence along with a natural flair for effortless details.

Wilfred decided to leave art school in 1977 and then emigrated to Hawaii. It was there he was encouraged and inspired to create his modern abstract work that simply stood out from his other comrades in this genre.

It was in 1981 he spent two years living in and around Europe and he earned several awards for his art internationally as well as here in the U.K.

 Wilfred now loves to spend most of his time in Amsterdam and Barcelona where his art is displayed and sold in major galleries.

He style naturally demands the use of paints in light loose acrylic using clever colour matching and create contrast of colour to create impact and depth of horizon line.The epic integration these techniques combine to create new effects that leads the viewer in to his dream like fantasy feel city scenes.His style is unique and whenever you see his work it is instantly recognised as a “Wilfred Lang", his paintings are acrylics on canvas and box framed so they do not require any further framing as the image wraps around the edge but we can offer that service should you require a frame.
